GOVERNANCE & PLANNING
Reviews and makes recommendations as needed on Society bylaws and rules; develops strategic and tactical recommendations on the objectives of the Society as a professional organization. This committee also should review the Society’s mission statement and suggest changes that accommodate the Society’s recent activities as well as the Society’s future growth as a professional organization.

MEMBERSHIP & OUTREACH/PUBLIC AFFAIRS COMMITTEE
Develops and implements membership recruitment programs and events, including law school outreach efforts. Responsible for promoting the Society and its initiatives through maintenance and enhancements to the website, Prognosis submission recruitment, AHLA affiliation, developing and disseminating communications about the Society and its efforts; and coordinating responses to public policy issues of interest to the Society. This committee also should consider whether the Society should more routinely provide comments on health care legislation, rules, and policies of interest to the Society where there is general consensus among the membership.
