We are pleased to announce the opening of the North Carolina Society of Health Care Attorneys (“NCSHCA”) grant application for 2023-2024.
The NCSHCA, in its continued effort to expand opportunities for community outreach and practical experience in the area of health care law, is making available up to $2,500 in grant funds for Fall 2023/Spring 2024 to be used by one or more programs, clinics, or students. The NCSHCA is seeking grant applications that focus on students providing assistance to clients and communities in North Carolina the area of health care law with a focus on addressing issues of health equity and access to resources and care. This may include funding a clinic or program to address community needs, a research project intended to highlight an issue and make recommendations, or an internship experience with a governmental entity or community partner engaged in this work. The NCSHCA also hopes that this grant program will facilitate mentorship by practicing health care attorneys around the State. The grant funds will be awarded to one or more clinics, programs, or students conducting health care law work in North Carolina.
