The NCSHCA, in its continued effort to expand opportunities for community outreach and practical experience in the area of health care law, is making available up to $2,500 in grant funds for the 2023-2024 academic year to be used by one or more law school programs, clinics, or students. The NCSHCA is seeking grant applications that focus on students providing assistance to clients and communities in the area of health care law with a focus on addressing issues of health equity and access to resources and care. This may include funding a clinic or program to address community needs, a research project intended to highlight an issue and make recommendations, or an internship experience with a governmental entity or community partner engaged in this work. The NCSHCA also hopes that this grant program will facilitate mentorship by practicing health care attorneys around the State. The grant funds will be awarded to one or more clinics, programs, or students affiliated with a North Carolina law school. NCSHCA 2023 Grant Application Announcement
