Marty Folliard of K&L Gates will discuss the key requirements of 42 CFR Part 2 (“Part 2”) regarding the confidentiality of substance use disorder (SUD) patient records. He will discuss the key differences between Part 2 and HIPAA, how to identify and define a Part 2 program, and strategies regarding practical implementation of Part 2 requirements following the February 16, 2026, compliance deadline for the 2024 final rule.
